By accessing or purchasing from www.storyofstrings.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and content contributors.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our Site or placing an order. If you do not agree with them, you may not access or use our services.

1. Our Story and Products

Every Story of Strings product is hand-embroidered by skilled artisans in India. Because each piece is made to order, small variations in pattern, stitching, or color are part of the charm and uniqueness of your handcrafted product.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that such variations do not constitute defects.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

By using our Site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you have given us consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this Site.

3. Orders and Payments

All prices listed on our Site are in your selected currency and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed securely through our authorized payment gateways. We do not store any credit card information on our servers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if we suspect fraud, unauthorized use, or any violation of these Terms.

4. Handmade Orders

Each Story of Strings product is custom made upon order. Once placed, we begin production within 24 hours — please ensure your details and selections are correct before checkout. 

If you've accidentally entered the wrong shipping address, contact us with your correct address within 2 hours of making your purchase and we’ll update your details.

If you want to make changes to your order or cancel it more than 2 hours after placing your order, please get in touch with our support team at care@storyofstrings.com

5. Production and Shipping Timeframes

  • Production Time: Approximately 10–14 business days as each bag is handcrafted.

  • Shipping Time: Approximately 7–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination.

  • Shipping Costs: Borne by the customer and calculated at checkout.

We ship worldwide via trusted logistics partners. Delays caused by customs clearance, weather, or courier issues are beyond our control.

6. Refunds and Returns

As our products are made-to-order, refunds are only accepted for damaged items.
If your order arrives damaged, please email care@storyofstrings.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos (and videos, if possible) of the damage and packaging.

Once verified, we will process a refund to your original payment method within 48 hours, though bank processing times may vary.

Exchanges are not available due to the custom nature of our products.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, product images, graphics, designs, and logos — is the exclusive property of Story of Strings or its licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, sell, or exploit any part of the Site or its content without express written permission from us.

8. Accuracy and Product Information

We make every effort to display product colors and details as accurately as possible. However, differences in screen display or natural variations in materials may result in slight discrepancies, which are part of the handmade character of our products.

9. Third-Party Services

Certain services (such as payment gateways or shipping carriers) are provided by third parties. We are not liable for any issues arising from their actions or systems, though we work only with trusted partners.

10. Limitation of Liability

Story of Strings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products.
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for your order.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
