Refund policy

At Story of Strings, every handbag is lovingly hand-embroidered by skilled artisans in India. Each piece is made just for you — crafted with time, care, and attention to every stitch. Because our products are custom-made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons other than damage.

Your satisfaction and trust mean the world to us, and we stand by the quality of our craftsmanship.


Refunds or Exchanges for Damaged Goods

If your handbag arrives damaged, don’t worry — we’ll make it right.
Please send an email to care@storyofstrings.com within 7 days of receiving your order, including:

  • Your order number or the email address used to place the order

  • Clear images (and videos, if available) showing the damage to the product and packaging

Once we receive your email and confirm the issue:

  • If the damage was due to our fault or occurred during shipping, Story of Strings will cover all return shipping costs.

  • We will process your refund to the original payment method within 48 hours of proof submission. Or alternately provide you with an exchange. 

  • Please note that the final crediting of the refund may depend on your bank’s processing times.


Return Shipping

If a return is required (only for damaged items), our customer care team will guide you through the process and share the appropriate return address. Please ensure the product is packaged safely to avoid further damage during transit.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after the expected bank processing time, please:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your bank or card provider — processing times can vary.

  3. If you’ve done all of the above and still haven’t received your refund, please reach out to us at care@storyofstrings.com
